Lasting Impressions

We flew home the next day, Sunday 11 December. Despite our initial misgivings, Ho Chi Minh City had come to grow on us. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you feel that Bangkok has become too commercial and too much like every other metropolis, then HCM City may be the place for you. To enjoy it, you have to roll with it, but there is still room for quiet moments and quaint sights.

don't these look like hindi movie posters?

itinerant balloon seller

hanging out with the boys

life on a boat

life in a city

first things first - a pedicure "stall" in Ben Thanh Market where one can get groomed during lunch

behind every sucessful business is...

she sells seashells by the roadside

popular roadside game - chess of all kinds

more than a discernible Japanese presence in HCM City?
